Racing the Stars is a free online racing game. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This privacy policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

      Core principle: We do not store IP addresses and
      do not collect personal data automatically. All game statistics
      are fully anonymous.
    

1. What data do we collect?

a) Anonymous game statistics

When playing the game, we automatically record:

Which level was played
Whether the level was completed or not
The score achieved
The platform (web, iPhone, iPad)
The play duration (in seconds)
The chosen character (skin)
A timestamp

This data is fully anonymous — no IP addresses, device IDs, cookies, or other identifying information is stored. It is not possible to trace this data back to an individual player.

b) Scoreboard (voluntary)

When you submit your score to the scoreboard, you enter a name yourself. This is the only personal information we store, and only if you choose to provide it. You are free to use a fictional name.

When submitting a score, we store:

The name you entered (max 20 characters)
Your score
The date of submission

2. What do we NOT collect?

No IP addresses
No cookies or tracking pixels
No device fingerprinting
No location data
No advertising tracking
No social media integration
No specific data from minors

3. How do we use the data?

The anonymous game statistics are used exclusively to:

Understand how the game is played (which levels are popular/difficult)
Improve the game based on play patterns
Display the scoreboard to all players

We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

4. Data storage and retention

All data is stored on our own server in Europe. Game statistics are retained for a maximum of 12 months. Scoreboard entries are kept as long as the game is active (maximum top 100 scores).

5. Your rights

Since we do not collect personal data (except for the voluntarily entered scoreboard name), there is generally no data to view or delete. If you would like your scoreboard name removed, please contact us.
